Forrest City, Iowa (July 2008)
We had an off-day between our dates in Thornton and Cedar Falls so we decided to tour the Winnebago plant in Forrest City, Iowa.
At the welcome center, an impromptu performance was requested. They liked what they heard, so they asked us if we could stay
until that evening to perform for the early arrivers to the annual Winnebago rally (about 400 RVs were already at the camp ground).
We had a great time! Below are pictures from this unplanned and totally unexpected performance!
Winnebago's 50th anniversary!!!
Relaxing before the concert.
Friendship Hall is a great gathering place at the Winnebago campground. It worked really well for our concert!
They were expecting over 1500 RVs to make it in for the rally!
Our hosts, Terry and Lois Long, went with us to the plant tour and were instrumental in getting us invited to sing that night.
Before the concert was over we had a "standing room only" crowd of over 400 people. Isn't God good!!!!
